Movement Church of San Antonio Worship Ministry

The Burton Family

Josh and Laurel Burton started leading worship for us on Easter Sunday of this year. This also happened to be our very first public service. They wanted to help us launch the Movement Church, but over the next several weeks, they fell in love with the people and the dream we all share in common. So they joined us in our efforts to unleash the Good News of Jesus Christ on the city of San Antonio.

If you were to ask the Burtons to describe what it really means to worship, you may not hear much about music at all. What they are most passionate about is the message of worship—the glory of God, the beauty of the Spirit-filled life and the inexhaustible riches contained in the Good News of Jesus Christ. As a musical family, they are gifted in so many areas of church leadership, things like: puppet ministry, church planting, children’s ministry, and most importantly, maintaining a watchful eye on “grace killers.”

What we love about the Burtons is their whole-hearted enthusiasm for people of every background, creed and class. After the service is over, you’ll find them hanging out at a local restaurant with the rest of the church family. To quote Josh, “Let’s keep it fun and live out the grace of God with each other.”

The Burton clan is in love with “Daddy”—the term of endearment they use to describe their relationship with “Abba Father.” He is the one who guides them and sustains their sense of humor about the crazy things that happen in life.

You may want to connect with them on Facebook. You can visit Josh here. Laurel’s page is at this link. So send them a friend request, and then join them this Sunday in singing for the glory and the love of God.
