What is the Movement?

What Is The Movement Church Of San Antonio

It’s A Place Like No Other

The Movement is a present-day model of the first century church. The early disciples of Jesus were simply called “followers of the Way,” (Acts 22:4; 24:14). This movement flourished without buildings, budgets or bylaws. It thrived and grew exponentially, ultimately transcending culture, race and socioeconomic backgrounds. It was a grass roots revolution that transformed everything it touched for the kingdom of God and the glory of God.

We started The Movement out of a conviction that the simple strategy used by Jesus Christ is still the most effective means of extending His kingdom to the uttermost parts of the earth. The Movement Church of San Antonio seeks to implement the principles of Acts 20:20:

“I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you publicly and from house to house.”

Simply stated, we will plant churches that meet in homes. We gather every Sunday morning at 10:30 AM in homes for worship, prayer and teaching. The Movement is designed with the conviction that the church is not a building, a location or even a time when Christians meet. The church is the body and the bride of Christ. The church is made up of the redeemed. We are the church, wherever we are, and whenever we gather.
